Nano Fluoroapatite

Fluorhydroxyapatites, FHA,   usually written as  Ca10 (PO4 )6 (OH)2-x Fx , where 0 < x  < 2.  Similar to pure HA, pure FHA never occurs in biological systems. It the hardest, most stable and least soluble compound among all calcium orthophosphates. Among all normal calcified tissues of humans, the highest concentration of fluorides is found in bones and the lowest in dental enamel.  However, even in bones, the total amount of fluorides is not enough to form FA; it is generally considered that the inorganic part of bones consists of ion-substituted CDHA.
